apple pie

do you know what the best feeling in the world is? in my opinion, the best feeling in the world is knowing that you make someone truly happy. my dad gave our neighbor our old car for free. my dad felt that the guy's money could be used towards vehicle repairs. and you know what? it was an easy decision for my dad. my dad couldn't care less about being paid. because he knows that he made him happy. the guy gave my dad a hug. actually, not just one hug. but three hugs. not only was the guy delighted, but my dad was satisfied also knowing that he helped him out a lot. the guy's brother took his car, so he was ride-less. my dad's gift of kindness overshadows his flaw of prejudice (yes, the guy is black). i love my dad.

it may be a little early for me to say something like these following couple of words, but 2008 has gone by ever so quickly. really. it feels like everything in this past 11-ish months has happened yesterday. in no order: ottawa, new years, florida, The Dark Knight, october 3 [:)], detroit, literacy test (lol?), halloween, Wall-E, conference... damn, you name it.

so i experienced inferiority yesterday. i point this out because i usually get regarded as being a good guitarist, musician, etc. i was pretty much a peasant amidst many gods. damn. it was an interesting experience though. i was lonely, yet humble. i just sat there, drowning in the surrounding superiority.

okay, now for something a little lighter; i visited Markus Molina at work today (KFC), LOL! dino and i walked in and immediately lol'd due to: all his 3 brown colleagues, his dark skin tone, him in his uniform, his small stature. and then there were black customers which made me lol more.

my father set up our christmas tree. it's hawt.

i've been experimenting with a couple of chord progressions recently, most notably anything with a iv cadence. the minor 4 cadence just adds a whole new dimension to music. it's powerful and effective.

um yeah i had apple pie for dessert. it was amazing. i love apple pie.

goodnight.
